As of May 2020, ECUPL has entered into 319 agreements with 174 universities and institutions in 45 countries and regions, as well as 6 international and regional organizations, including the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Asian Law Institute (ASLI), and TELFA ASBL (an international alliance of independent law firms), in order to establish various forms of exchanges for faculty and students and scientific research cooperation projects.

In terms of student projects, ECUPL currently has 63 International fee-waiving exchange programs and fee-paying study abroad programs, 31 overseas Master's Degree programs, 2 senior undergraduate student visits, 2 China-foreign joint programs approved by the Ministry of Education of China, and 27 short-term summer and winter programs. ECUPL has established the “Funding Project for Students of ECUPL (East China University of Political Science and Law) for Overseas Exchanges”to support students and encourage them to actively participate in exchange projects.
