Magnolia Award is an award established by the Shanghai Municipal People's Government in the name of the city flower Magnolia since 1989 to recognize and thank outstanding foreigners for their positive contributions to Shanghai's economic construction, social development and cultural exchanges.
Over the years, four foreign experts from ECUPL have been honored the Shanghai Magnolia Sliver Award: Wang Jiani (1991), Charles Robert Irish (2008), Li Wangyinlan (2012), and Henry Chang-Yu Lee (2016).
