On December 22, 2020, Prof. YE Qing, President of the East China University of Political Science and Law, Vice President Prof. CHEN Jingying, Director of International Exchange Center Prof. WU Qiaofang, and other delegates from the Office of International Programs attended the online signing ceremony with the Tashkent State University of Law(Uzbekistan), represented by its Rector Khakimov Rakhim Rasuljanovich, Vice-rector Umarov Dilshod Marufovich, Vice-rector Rustambekov Islombek Rustambekovich and heads of the International Cooperation Department and all four schools.
Prof. Khakimov Rakhim Rasuljanovich points out that the successful organization of the online ceremony is an illustration of the two parties’ joint will to deepen cooperation with mutual benefit, on a basis of Memorandum of Understanding signed since 2014. ECUPL is the first university in partnership with TSUL in China and the East Asia to launch joint dual degree programs and the cooperation will be of great significance to the academic and people-to-people exchanges between two parties, and the two countries.
Prof. YE Qing expresses warm gratitude to all TSUL delegates attending the ceremony. He reckons that the agreements being drafted and signed within one month demonstrates the firm will of the two parties to cooperate amidst even the pandemic. He believes that the Chinese Language and Law Center to be launched in Tashkent can benefit Uzbekistani students and he himself is ready to welcome students of joint programs from TSUL in the year 2021.
On the ceremony, the two parties signed the Memorandum of Understanding, Faculty and Student Exchange Agreement and the Dual Degree Cooperation Agreement.
