Introduction
Internationalization of higher education is a process that integrates an international, intercultural and global dimension into the functions of universities to cope with new challenges in the context of globalization. The vigorous promotion of internationalization in ECUPL actively engages in educational and research cooperation and exchanges with top universities, research institutions, renowned companies, and academic organizations, which hold a great significance in boosting our university’s overall capacity and strengthening our comprehensive edges. Attending international academic conferences is also a crucial steptoward internationalization efforts. For this purpose, International Exchange Center will launch a series of tweets on "International Conference and Call for Papers" to provide faculty and students with information on resources and channels related to international academic conferences. These initiatives enable professors and students to be exposed toa broader range of the latest academic frontiers in their chosen areas of study, and encourage them to attend conferences to further enhance their internationalized research capabilities. The following information is primarily organized by upcoming paper submission deadlines andscheduled conference dates.
1.Research Handbook on State Responsibility in the 21st Century
The editors of the Edward Elgar Research Handbook on State Responsibility in the 21st Century are inviting scholars and practitioners – especially those in the early stages of their careers - to pitch ideas for chapters on the following themes:
history of State responsibility;
theory of State responsibility;
general issues in State responsibility;
and new frontiers, including cyberspace, global health law, intellectual property law, environmental law and climate change reparations for historical wrongs.

4.International Conference: The Third Edition of the International Symposium on Cultural Heritage in War and Peace

The third edition of the International Symposium on Heritage in War and Peace will be held under the following theme: “Tangible and Intangible Cultural Heritage through Past, Present and Future” (hybrid event). This theme invites participants to look in greater depth at the very notion of cultural heritage. It proposes to focus on diverse aspects of heritage protection in conflict and peace, conceptualize more critically the notion of tangibility and intangibility, and put forward innovative ways to deal with heritage preservation and management.

14.Workshop: International Law Association Committee on Alternative Dispute Resolution in International Law
Venue: Singapore virtual meeting

The International Law Association (ILA) Committee on Alternative Dispute Resolution in International Law was formally approved in 2022 with the mandate to raise awareness of the potential contributions of “alternative” (defined as “non-adjudicative”) dispute resolution (ADR) to international law. The Committee’s Final Report and Resolution will provide concrete guidance for practitioners and governments in their choice of procedure to resolve international disputes. In the Committee’s ongoing early phase, the Committee is working inductively through its members’ case studies to: (i) establish a taxonomy of ADR mechanisms; (ii) analyze what worked well and what did not; (iii) and identify appropriate dispute resolution pathways for specific dispute categories. The Committee will submit its Preliminary Report to the International Law Association (ILA) Executive Council in January 2024, ahead of the June 2024 ILA Biennial Conference in Athens, Greece.
As part of its preparation, the Committee is pleased to hold its Singapore virtual meeting in partnership with the CIL International Dispute Resolution Programme.
