On the afternoon of June 11, an announcement meeting on university leadership adjustment was held at East China University of Political Science and Law. The meeting announced the decision of the Party Committee of Shanghai Municipality: Xiao Kai wasappointed as Deputy Secretary of the University Party Committee and President of East China University of Political Science and Law, as Ye Qing was relieved of his positions as Deputy Secretary of the University Party Committee and President of the university.
Cao Yuanfeng, Executive Deputy Minister of the Organization Department of Shanghai Municipal Party Committee , attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Shen Wei, Secretary of the Party Committee of Shanghai Municipal Education and Health Work, presided over the meeting. Relevant responsible representatives from the Division on Publicity, Education, Science, and Technology Cadres, Organization Department of the Municipal Party Committee read out the decision on the appointment and removal of cadres.
Guo Weilu, Secretary of the University Party Committee; Xiao Kai, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the university; and Ye Qing, former Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and former President of the university, made their statements respectively.
The meeting was attended by relevant responsible representatives from the Organization Department of Shanghai Municipal Party Committee, Party Committee of Shanghai Municipal Education and Health Work, university leadership, mid-level management and those fromrelevant departments of ECUPL.
