OnJune 26, the graduation gala for the Class of 2026 of the International Schooltook place at Jishi Hall in the Jiaoyi Building on Changning Campus.International students from Myanmar, Nepal, Russia, Nigeria, Cambodia and othercountries, together with students from Sino-foreign joint training programs, gathered at the venue. School management, industry practice mentors and faculty members attended the event, recalling youthful memories and bidding farewell to the graduates, marking a perfect end to their academic journey at East China University of Political Science and Law.
Liao Zhihong, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of Jing’an District Bureau of Justice, practice mentors from multiple law firms in Jing'an District including Shanghai Jinfu Law Firm, Yingdong Law Firm and Shanggong Law Firm, as well as representatives from the University of Western Australia and Curtin University Singapore Campus were present. Also in attendance were Wu Qiaofang, Director of the International Exchange Center and Dean of the International School; Zhang Lijun, Li Yong and Han Yichou, Deputy Directors of the International Exchange Center and Associate Deans of the International School.
Atthe event, Wu Qiaofang delivered an inspirational and forward-looking commencement address. She encouraged the graduates to cultivate a global perspective and an inclusive mindset, emphasizing how embracing diverse cultures isessential for personal development. Professor Wu also underscored the importance of remaining true to oneself while pursuing ongoing self-improvement. She reassured the graduates of the school's stead fast support and expressed her enthusiasm to see their future achievements unfold across the globe.
In her speech, Liao Zhihong noted that Sino-foreign legal exchanges and cross-border legal service cooperation represent a major trend of the times. She urged all graduates to uphold their original aspiration for the rule of law, delve deep into their professional fields, take the initiative to engage in international legal services, leverage their unique multicultural academic backgrounds, and realize personal value through cross-border legal communication and collaboration. Lü Min, a lawyer from Shanghai Jinfu Law Firm, shared practical industry experience,guiding graduates to continuously polish their professional capabilities and showcase the vitality of young legal professionals on the international stage.
ZhangJiao, a faculty member from the International Law School, delivered a speech on behalf of all teachers and performed the song Good Days live. Her words and singing expressed full recognition of the graduates' years of diligent study and sincere wishes for their bright futures.
Graduate representatives from home and overseas took the stage to share their learning experiences. Ya Min Pa Pa Maw, a student from Myanmar, expressed gratitude to the university, faculty and her fellow students, emphasizing her commitment to carrying forward Sino-foreign friendship forged during her overseas studies.Zhang Yuqing, a representative of the 2+2 Bachelor of Commerce articulation program jointly run by the university and the University of Western Australia,noted that many students would soon pursue further studies in the UK, Australia, Singapore and other regions. She wished everyone to retain their passion for knowledge, stay down-to-earth, keep pushing their limits, and all achieve success when they meet again in the future.
Anaward ceremony for Outstanding Graduates and Overseas Institutional Scholarships was held during the gala.

The stage came alive with distinctive cultural performances presented by international students from various countries, including a traditional Myanmar dance, original Nepalese songs, and a joint rendition of The Moon Represents My Heart performed by students from multiple nations. The wonderful shows fully embodied the beauty of multicultural integration.
